Si no recuerdo mal, hace un tiempo leí que el USB había sido, si no el mejor, uno de los mejores inventos de la informática en los últimos tiempos. Y la verdad es que bien cómodo que es; estoy totalmente de acuerdo.Ahora parece ser que Intel y algunas otras compañías está trabajando en lo que será la próxima especificación del USB, con la que se pretende subir las velocidades de transmisión hasta el orden varios gigas por segundo, 25 como máximo de momento, parece ser.
Todo ello hace pensar, entre otras cosas, que el USB acabará merendándose al FireWire, ese puerto raro que casi todos tenemos en nuestro ordenador y que no acabamos nunca de saber para que sirve a no ser que nos dé por comprarnos una cámara de vídeo o algo por el estilo. Pero será mucho más comodo poder usar el mismo interfaz para todo. Parece ser que en un futuro próximo podremos descargarnos los vídeos de nuestras vacaciones en Benidorm directamente por USB.
Por otra parte, parece que los cables y conectores de la nueva especificación serán compatibles con USB 2.0 y 1.1, los de ahora, aunque obviamente si usamos un cable o un sistema de los viejos las transmisiones irán a las

He visto en un supermercado de Uterlandia, un sacapuntas por USB. 7 leuros. No sé por qué no lo he comprado, la verdad.
